SPOT TRADINGSIENA KNOWLEDGE BASE

Making a swap.

From a live pool quote to a confirmed transaction, without an exchange deposit balance.

How Siena selects the route

Siena compares responding direct Uniswap V3 pool fee tiers for your selected token pair. Quotes are taken at a common block and the highest quoted output is selected.

This comparison does not aggregate every DEX, split an order across routes, or include gas in the ranking. The selected route is the highest output among the pools that responded, not a guarantee of the best price everywhere.

A preview is not an order

Estimates update automatically. Swap does not display a quote countdown; expired estimates are replaced while a new price is requested. A preview neither moves tokens nor contributes trading volume. Changing the chain, token pair or amount invalidates the previous review.

An approval can take longer than the original quote. Siena requests a fresh quote after approval so you can review the actual minimum before submitting the swap.

What happens on-chain

If a contract check fails, the swap and Siena fee revert together. Network gas can still be spent by a reverted transaction.

  1. 01

Siena prepares a direct Uniswap V3 swap through Universal Router, with a deadline and minimum output.

  2. 02

The full input goes to the pool. The router deducts the Siena fee from the output and sends it directly to the project wallet.

  3. 03

The remaining output goes to your wallet in the same transaction. No separate Siena treasury contract holds the fee.

Available swap pairs

Siena supports direct USDC/WETH and USDC/USDT routes on Base and Arbitrum. Token approvals and router permissions are independent on each chain. Swap lists only active markets; unsupported tokens, including cbBTC, ARB and WBTC, are not listed. Base uses Bridged USDT at 0xfde4C96c8593536E31F229EA8f37b2ADa2699bb2. The Arbitrum USDC/USDT route uses USDT0 at 0xfd086bc7cd5c481dcc9c85ebe478a1c0b69fcbb9. Trading requires the route to be enabled; Review swap checks current availability. Review swap checks activation before requesting a token approval. USDC/USDT swaps qualify for Genesis under the same entry, time, fee and minimum-notional rules as USDC/WETH. An insufficient, nonzero USDT allowance may require a reset signature before approving the new amount.

The interface will not silently substitute a different token, network or recipient to make a quote executable.

Clarity is part of the product.
