TRADE ECONOMICSSIENA KNOWLEDGE BASE

Fees & slippage.

Know what leaves your wallet, what reaches the pool and what protects your output.

Three costs to understand

CostHow it is applied
Siena fee0.19% of token output from the pool, sent directly to the project wallet. Your receive amount and minimum are after this fee. Open Fees & execution details to see the fee recipient for your quote and its block explorer link. Check the quote and signed transaction.
Liquidity pool feeDetermined by the chosen Uniswap pool tier. Reflected in quoted output.
Network gasPaid separately in ETH on the chosen network. Approval and swap may each require gas.

A 1,000 USDT output example

If the pool returns 1,000 USDT, Siena receives 1.90 USDT and you receive 998.10 USDT. When the output is WETH, the fee is in WETH. Network gas is separate.

This is an accounting example, not a price quote. Siena may change the receiving project wallet and future fee rates up to 1%, but cannot change a signed transaction. Fees already received stay in the wallet that received them. Pausing Siena stops preparing new trades; it does not pause Uniswap or invalidate already signed trades. Genesis rules specify 0.19% throughout the announced event window.

Slippage sets your minimum received

Slippage tolerance allows a bounded reduction from the quoted output. For example, a quote of 0.4 WETH with 0.5% tolerance gives a minimum of 0.398 WETH, rounded down to token precision.

A tighter tolerance may cause more reverts when prices move. A wider tolerance permits a worse fill. Slippage is not a separate fee, and it does not eliminate price impact or MEV.

Stablecoin does not mean fixed execution

Stablecoin pairs can still have thin liquidity, pool fees, depegs and price impact. Review the output and minimum rather than assuming two dollar-denominated tokens exchange exactly one for one. USDC/USDT can execute only while its route is available. Base USDT is a bridged token.

Clarity is part of the product.
